Atlantis Dive Resort, Puerto Galera and Dumaguete Resorts – Philippines

Atlantis Resort was built for divers, but diver who wants a little bit extra service and a nice location. With a full service spa on property, European trained restaurant staff, smiling hostess that remember your favorite breakfast beverage, and dive guides ready to show you your wish list of underwater creatures, you will be spoiled. You may want to take one day or afternoon off in the middle of the week from diving to “pick your own adventures” from the many wonderful adventures the island has to offer… hikes to waterfalls, 4-wheel trekking, city tours, market tours, golfing, and more. You will have a chance to do 1 or 2 out Island picnics. Most dives are on reefs not 5 minutes from the resort!!! There are four to five dives a day offered and included with options to upgrade to a night dive on most evenings.

Puerto Galera is a fishing village, and walks into to town to see local disco’s, markets, and bustle is a good spectator sport. Some of the dive sites that a special here are giant clam dives, in search of the pigmy seahorse, basket star wall and a wreck dive in port. Dumaguete is on a quite beach, on the island with one of the Philippine’s of the largest medical schools. The diving is best known for clown fish city and APO Island, local muck diving and reef diving, a dive to feel the heat vents from the volcano and a wonderful commercial pier night dive. We will also visit the two schools that the Oceanic Ventures Foundation supports.

Both locations include accommodation in a deluxe room (double occupancy/twin share, all meals including Italian and specialty coffees at breakfast, coffee, tea and filtered water are available from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, unlimited internet access, trips to Apo Island or similar, Unlimited scheduled boat diving (up to 5 dives a day.) Both locations have wonderful restaurants with daily fresh specials, and a full service bar and espresso bar.

We will depart Houston on Saturday July 21 via Singapore airlines and arrive with enough time to shop, get a massage, visit the orchid gardens, and add to your philatelic collections with famous Singapore post office. Transfer to Manila arriving Monday afternoon then to the hotel by van and boat to the island of Puerto Galera. After 5 days in PG we will transfer by boat and air to Dumaguete resort for 7 night stay. We will depart back to Houston on a Saturday night to be back by 2:00 PM on Sunday.

Package Includes: Round trip airfare, transfer air fare, air taxes as published currently, 6 days/5 nights/ 4 diving days in Puerto Galera, and 8 days/7 nights/6 diving days in Dumaguete, Accommodation in a deluxe room double • All meals at Toko’s Restaurant (breakfast drinks, Italian and specialty coffees are included at breakfast) • Coffee, tea and filtered water are available from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (Italian and specialty coffees are not included after breakfast) • Unlimited internet access • Two day trips to Apo Island or similar • Unlimited scheduled boat diving, cylinders, weights, dive guides, nitrox for all dives, valet dive service, round trip airfare air from Manila to Dumaguete on local carrier, transfers to and from the airport, trip leader, pre-trip meeting and trip shirt

Does not include: marine park fee ($75 per week) both paid locally, tips for our local guides, spa services/tips, any additional tours, rental equipment, trip insurance recommended, diving/medical insurance required, changes in taxes at the time of ticking. Please note, this includes are taxes as currently published, subject to change until ticketed.

Fare: $4,995 pp double garden view rooms, $4895 discounted for cash or check and Club Aquarius Membership, $1500 pp deposit is required to hold space, balance due March 31, 2012. Need your passport information to hold air space.

Upgrade Options: Ocean Front Rooms $250 per person for Dumaguete, (no ocean front rooms in P.G. needed), Single Supplement is $500 for total trip, all based on availability.

Club Aquarius is an International Diving Club. Oceanic Ventures sponsors a local chapter. Membership is $75 pp family for a year and $65 for individuals. Membership benefits include travel discounts, discounts on classes, monthly equipment specials, meetings, door prizes, a card and a gift.
