Leadership Dive Courses

Dive Leaders, whether they are Dive Masters, Dive Coordinators, Instructors or Technical Instructors all share one thing in common – a genuine passion for all-things diving.  If you live and breathe diving and have an unstoppable drive to share that passion with others, we want to hear from you.

Becoming a diver leader, particularly an Instructor offers you a privileged opportunity to pass on your knowledge, experience and dive skills to the divers of tomorrow. With an Instructor Trainer as your mentor, our Instructor courses are designed to develop and enhance your diving skills, teaching and supervisory skills in a controlled and structured manner.

Each dive leadership level consists of an instructor evaluation where you’ll work alongside an Instructor or Instructor Trainer to develop the tools and know-how to successfully deliver diver training at various  levels. For new Technical Instructors, you’ll start at the ‘tech lite’ level teaching the IANTD Recreational Trimix and Advanced Recreational Trimix programs.

If you are already an experienced instructor, contact our training director for options and routes to join our team of professionals.

Open Water Instructor

Working with new students is a real treat and sharing your diving skills and knowledge with them is fun and rewarding.  You will enjoy watching them progress from new students with little knowledge of diving to fully certified divers.  Additionally, you can keep them interested in diving by prneuding them with continuing diving education opportunities.  As you gain experience you can increase your instructor rating from an Open Water Instructor to a Specialty Instructor, an Advanced Open Water Instructor, a Dive Control Specialist Instructor, A Master Instructor, an Instructor Trainer and ultimately to an Instructor Certifier.

  • Prerequisites: Dive Control Specialist, current First Aid, CPR & Oxygen provider
  • Equipment Requirements: Student educational materials, your own total diving system matching the facilities merchandising policy

  • Cave Diving Instructor (both open circuit and CCR)
  • Wreck Diving Instructor (both open circuit and CCR)
  • Normoxic Trimix Instructor (both open circuit and CCR)
