What is this program all about?
This 2nd level course is primarily focused on the PSE Editor with advanced tools and techniques. We will learn about non-destructive techniques for editing your photos with a much greater level of control. Continuing to explore and build upon your color theory actually using mathematics to more accurately remove those pesky color casts. We will introduce adjustment layers, layer masks, advanced sharpening techniques, while adding new vignetting techniques, and exploring the 4 layer blending modes you’ll most use. You will learn to work with text and be shown how to create phenomenal B&W images from your color photos. These techniques with your imagination will now set you free in your quest to produce the “Perfect Picture!”
Who Should Attend?
If you have participated in Greg’s other workshop, are comfortable with what you have learned there and are ready to take the next step, let’s go. If you already have good baseline skills in PSE or Photoshop and you want to build upon that, have a look at the Commands Learned to see if this might be the right class for you.
If I don’t photograph underwater is this course good for me?
The skills in this course are designed to help you with all pictures and workflow. I put an emphasis on color correction of UW photos because that is a very challenging task. The knowledge and tools are the same and will work on all photos. Bring your laptop and follow along, adjusting your land shots as we work with the UW photos at the end.
What to bring?
Bring 3 photos in electronic form (untouched) that you’d like to “Fix”, laptops if you have Photoshop Elements or Photoshop. We will pick a few photos in the final workshop section to work on, no promises to get to all of them. Bring your questions too!
Do I need the software?
Not for the course, but if you have it great! If you have the Creative Suite with a full-blown Photoshop you are good to go as well!
