Privacy Statement
For each visitor to our site, our Web server may automatically recognize you if you have visited the site before. We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us by logging in to the web page, by e-mail, or by completing a contact information form. We collect aggregate information on what pages consumers’ access or visit, user specific information on what pages consumers’ access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.
The information we collect is used for internal review, and is used to improve the content of our Web page or other communications and is used to customize the content, layout, or other factors of our page and communications for individual consumer and used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes.
We do not sell or give our client information to third-party vendors. However, some training agencies require that we supply them with some client information including names, email addresses, mailing address, birthdate, certification information, etc. for certification purposes. Oceanic Ventures has no control over this information and how they treat this information is spelled out in their individual privacy statements.
If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, the email blasts contain an unsubscribe link that you may follow to stop any future email messages. Additionally, you may let us know by sending an e-mail, calling or writing, and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mail from our company.
Cookies
When you use our site we will store cookies on your computer in order to facilitate and customize your use of our site. A cookie is a small data text file, which a Web site stores on your computer’s hard drive (if your Web browser permits) that can later be retrieved to identify you to oceanicventures.net. The cookies make your use of the site easier, allow you to retrieve an earlier shopping cart, make the site run more smoothly and help us to maintain a secure site. You will be unable to shop on our site without your browser set to accept cookies. You can tell your browser to erase all cookies at the end of a session.

You understand and agree that the owners of this site shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data or other intangible losses (even if the owners of this site have been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from the use or the inability to use the product(s) and or service(s) or any misuse of the product(s) and or service(s) in a manner not in accordance with their intended use.
Credit Card Information
For on-line sales, we do not retain credit card information. This information is passed directly to the credit card processor and is discarded. You may read more about their policies here.
Pricing
The price does not include shipping and handling fees, insurance, applicable taxes and fees. All purchases are FOB Oceanic Ventures in Houston, Texas. The client is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs to avoid loss or damage in shipping. Course fees are for training and not for certification. The certification is earned and there may be an additional charge to repeat the training program or for additional assistance.
Return Policy
The staff at Oceanic Ventures, Inc. wants you to be a satisfied and safe diver. As such, we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee except as noted below. If you’re not happy with any product and we are not able to correct the situation, please return it for a full refund, less shipping charges, within 14 days of the date of purchase. Please note that special orders may have a re-stocking fee apply.
Training Programs
You are paying for education and training. Actual certification is warned not purchased. Prior to the start of the program, you may return the books and materials in new, salable condition for a full refund of the total course fee. After the course has begun, you may return the books and material in new salable condition for a refund of the materials cost. Because we have set aside the time for your training, the tuition and fees are not refundable once the program starts.
Many of our programs are based on having a minimum number of students. This is especially true with the Technical Diving Programs. The course fees may include tuition, educational materials, appropriate dive tables, supplemental materials, your instructor’s time at the confined water and open water sessions with the group and a certification card when the course is completed satisfactorily. Please remember that the course fees are for training and not for certification. The certification is earned and there may be an additional charge to repeat the training program or for additional assistance.
Many of our courses combine live, on-line training sessions with hands-on skill sessions conducted at fun challenging sites around the world.
The course fees do not include travel to and from the lectures and dive sites, entrance or charter fees, lodging, meals, gas fills and equipment; these are the student’s responsibility. Additionally, for training and open water sessions outside the immediate area, the students are responsible for the instructors expenses.
There may be additional charges for private programs or programs that do not have the minimum number of students.
On-Sale or Clearance Merchandise
Because much of this inventory is one-of-a-kind, trade-in, or discontinued merchandise it is sold as-is. However, we still want you to be happy with your purchase. You may return it for a full refund, less shipping charges, with-in seven (7) days from the date of purchase.
Travel
To reserve a spot on a trip, you must complete the Trip Application and make a deposit for the trip. When you make a deposit for a trip, you have taken a space off the market. As such, all travel fees paid, including deposits, are non-refundable unless the trip runs full and an acceptable substitute can be found. If a refund is made, there may be some cancellation fees deducted from the refund amount. All trips must be fully paid 90-days prior to departure.
Returned Check Fee
The fee for returned checks is $35.00.
Modifications to Policy Statement
We continue to review our policies and procedures to assure that they are effective in meeting our commitments to our Clients. Oceanic Ventures, Inc. reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement without notice at any time and from time to time, including as needed to comply with the rules and regulations of the various debit and credit card organizations, or to comply with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
