S tress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur. The program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and under water. The course includes academic and in-water sessions in the pool and in the open water. The program covers:
- What Is Stress?
- Stress In Diving:Causes And Prevention
- Detecting And Dealing With Stress
- Accident Management
- Skills Needed To Deal With Panic And Rescues
- Conditions That Complicate Rescues
The primary goal of any specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. We have designed a course that maximizes your actual skill application and minimizes your time in the classroom. It combines a home study program with review sessions and a number of dives designed to help you gain confidence and skills in a fun and challenging way. Of course, for this program to work, you must complete all of the reading and answer all of the review questions at the end of each chapter before coming to class. However, don’t get too concerned, these materials fo not take that long to complete.

The lake dives will be conducted at Blue Lagoon which is about an hour and half away from the store.
You will need your total diving system, air or nitrox of course and a few extra items you may not have yet. Some of those things are a safety sausage, a spool or reel and some lights. So you can make smart purchases and not waste money, please let your instructor or one of our staff help you acquire the right items for the course.
Tution for the course is $395.00 for Club Members or $425 for non club members. Plus the first aid/cpr/oxygen administration course. The next First Aid/CPR/O2 Prneuder will be taught in October.
