Enriched Air Nitrox
Nitrox Seminar: First Thursday of the Month 6:30 – 9:00 PM
The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox program will teach you how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Diving with enriched air can increase your no-decompression limits, increase your safety, and reduce the required length of your surface intervals when compared to air. You will earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification after completing this program.

Next Stress & Rescue Class
Stress & Rescue Program – “Be prepared for those unexpected emergencies.” Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur. The program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and under water. The course runs two – four days in which you will participate in academic and in-water sessions in the pool and in the open water. The program covers:
- What Is Stress?
- Stress In Diving: Causes And Prevention
- Detecting And Dealing With Stress
- Accident Management
- Skills Needed To Deal With Panic And Rescues
- Conditions That Complicate Rescues
The primary goal of any specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. All courses are taught using home study, short academic sessions, and in-water training.
To earn your Stress Rescue Diver rating and card you do need to have completed an internationally recognized CPR/First Aid Course and O2 Course. We offer these in conjunction with Stress Rescue or you can bring your course cards with you to class.
What: We will have a fun filled class of diving, learning new skills, improving on skills from open water class and making new friends& dive buddies!!! You will be doing a home study, e-learning and classes, plus pool skills. Our Pool work with include the basis for any diver and will provide the needed water time to build confidence and skills in to become an awesome diver and provided needed skills for basic rescue. It is also the building blocks for the Master Diver Level.
Students need to have completed all reading and exercises prior to attending class. Each student will be expected to bring their total dive system to class including cylinders & weights. Ratings and cards will be awarded when earned by completing all the requirements. CPR/First Aid is required for Stress Rescue rating and can be completed when we return or provide proof of CPR./First Aid with a card.
Included:
- Instruction all class, pool & open water sessions
- Educational materials including books, lecture note and cards when earned
- Use Cylinders for pool work
- Use of instructional aids for class
Not Included: Total Diving System, any extra fills needed for Open Water .

Digital Underwater Photography
The underwater world is a special place and what would be better than to bring back some of those special moments to share with your friends and family? In this program you have the opportunity to try a camera and to actually take photographs underwater.

Next Closed Circuit Rebreather Course

Diving with a rebreather is a whole new experience! They allow you to stay underwater longer, perform more efficient decompression dives and get closer to fish and wildlife — a plus for photographers) This is a unit specific course featuring the Megalodon Rebreather. Learn how to operate and diver your own Closed Circuit Rebreather system from Innerspace Diving Systems The Megalodon / Tiburon was designed for the most demanding dives with consideration for the diver and their needs. Addressing not only the basic requirements of performance that a true 3rd party tested CCR must undergo, but also the other considerations that is not considered, such as travel and conducting repairs in remote locations. The new Tiburon head is powered by Shearwater Electronics. A shearwater handset controls the head and a shearwater HUD. A NERD 2 can also be added to replace the HUD.

- Any brand backplate/harness/ wing system will fit on the unit.
- Shadow mounts on canister allow the mounting of any cylinder size 15cf / 2L or 23cf / 3L Fabers.
- Will easily fit in the overhead of an airplane during travel!
Prerequisites for the course are:
- Certified in Advanced Nitrox(can be done concurrently)
- Experienced diver (100+ dives)
- Be proficient in all basic diving skills / technical diving skills strongly preferred
- Proof of dive certifications and log book required
Course Description
- Academic time : 8-12 hours
- Confined water & Open Water Training & 420 minutes of open water dive time.
- Qualifications of graduates: The objective is to be able to comfortably operate the rebreather and dive safely to 100 feet/30msw using air diluent with an operating PO2 of 1.3 ata.
- Safety and building your confidence on CCR is our first priority, Diving is fun and we’ll make sure we have some of that during class too!
Cost $2700 (2 student minimum)
- Cost does not include your expenses such as O2, Sorb, Site entry fees, or lodging.
- Instructor expenses will be split between all students at the end of the class.
