New Products in On-Line Store

If you have not looked at the Oceanic Ventures On-Line store lately, you may have missed a few new specialty items that we added. With the continuing discomfort during the COVID-19 situation, Dive Mom has been reminding everyone she talks to that “Divers are line Cephalopods – We’re flexible; we’re adaptable; and, we’re super strong!” So, we created a new coffee mug so you can remind everyone that you will get through all of this. We have also set-aside $1.00 from the sale of each mug to donate to the Houston Food Bank for their COVID-19 relief effort.

And, since it seems everyone is at home cooking right now, we thought it would be appropriate to add an apron to the store. This will help you keep your clothes clean in your home office while you are kneading bread.

These new items are available now (on-line only.) along with some new hats. To find the products, just press the shop button in the menu.

New Video – Who We Are

Ann’s round table had an assignment for each of their members — at the meeting you are hosting, you need to tell the group more about what it is you do. In true executive fashion, Ann assembled a team (ok, a team of one additional person) to develop a summary of what Oceanic Ventures does. The following video resulted from that team meeting.

Please shoot over to YouTube and tell us what you think. And, while you are there, please subscribe to the channel.

Valentines Day Is Coming

Love is in the air… and Dive Mom want you to get a full breath of it while it is here. But being a former floral assistant, she really things that roses on Valentines Day are over priced and a bit cliche’. Instead, why not give your sweetheart something that will give him/her a hug for months to come? What does she mean you ask? Well, a new wetsuit, hydroskin full suit, hydroskin shirt or a new swimsuit will remind them of you all year!

Remember, a tight fitting suit is like getting a hug the whole time you have it on. If your sweetheart already has everything, why not try a new Greenprene suit? It is a completely new technology with no neoprene. Or, there is always the more traditional suits and hydroskins.

If your sweetheart is not a diver or has all of his/her dive equipment then think about some travel accessories (bags, packing cubes, dry bags, etc) or even some Pure Fiji Spa products.

No matter what you need to make it a special day for your sweetheart, Dive Mom and the staff and Oceanic Ventures, can help you pull it off!

And, we don not want to forget you. We have a special something for you when you buy your Valentine a gift from your favorite Dive Facility! Call, email or come by and we will have it ready for you — we will even gift wrap it for you. What could be simpler?

Happy Valentines day!

The Second Container is In

After a lot of trial and error, including getting the delivery truck stuck in the mud, the second container is in place!  We have been trying for a month to get both containers set so we can begin working on building them out for the repair facility and the air fill station.
The first container was delivered but it started raining so we did not feel comfortable bringing the second one in.  We waited 2 weeks and tried to set the second one but the soil was too soft and the truck stuck into the mud before reaching the place to put it.  After a few conversations with Jeremy and Zac, both of whom have experience with moving these types of units around, we resorted to 3/4″ plywood as a base (after we knocked down the ruts from last time).  It worked!
Dave and Coad have already started framing out the repair center and Dave hopes to have the rough framing completed by Tuesday.  Then we have to get the electrical put in, install a/c, the insulation, the drywall, flooring and finally the workbenches and shelving!  It will take a little more time but we are making progress!  Once the repair center is complete, we will build-out the fill station and move the compressor systems.
The goal is to have all of this completed by February-March in time for the March Open House.
