Weekend Winners!

This past weekend was a very busy one for the staff at Oceanic Ventures.  We had a lot going on with Santa’s visit and the first of our holiday auctions.
The holiday auction supports our school and community projects around the world.  We appreciate everyone who helped support the auction and our projects.  The high bidders were:

Santa is Coming To Visit On Saturday, November 12, 2011

Many people may not realize that Santa Claus is a scuba diver and on 12 November 2011 from 9:00 to 12:00 he will be posing for photos underwater at the West University Place Recreation Center Pool located at 4210 Bellaire Blvd in West University Place (Houston).  There is a $10.00 fee for the photos if you call in advance or $35.00 on the day of the event.  If you are interested, call Ann at the store (713.523.3483) or email her and tell her you would like to participate.
This will be Santa’s fifth visit to the City of West University Place and Houston to pose with adults and children in the swimming pool.  The photos are fun and are a great way to start the holiday season.  Imagine sending Grandma a photo of the kids underwater with Santa Claus. 
We will also be doing an interview with Santa to learn more about his diving plans for 2012.  Keep looking at the blog for more diving stories from the man himself.
This will be Santa’s only underwater visit in the area because he need to return to the North Pole to finish getting ready for Christmas so don’t miss this Christmas Card moment!

Weekend of Specials and a New 12 Days of Christmas Collection

Of course you will want to come by the store this weekend (which starts on Thursday) because these travel packages are on special and feature some free diving dollars that will allow you to save money in the new year!  Stop in for hot dogs on Friday and Saturday and  have your photo taken with Santa Claus underwater at the West University Recreation Center pool from 9:00 am to 12:00 before coming to the store.

Can you imagine getting a different gift on each of the Twelve Days of Christmas?  How about scuba and travel themed gifts for the Seven Days of Chanukah?  Can you picture giving a really cool gift collection to your dive buddy?  Well Dive Mom has put together some awesome collections to help you surprise your diving buddies this holiday season!  One of the packages is designed around the Eagle Creek Pack-It packing system that Oceanic Ventures introduced last month.  Your dive partner can finally look organized and “put together” when he or she arrives at their final diving destination.  However, this system is not only for divers, it can be used for non-diving travel, with children or simply around the house.  Please come by the store and see what she has put together.  You can also email Dive Mom for more information on these packages.
